Frightening Flashmob of the Day: A Swiss flashmob protest of nuclear power plants, which involved hundreds of people suddenly collapsing in the street (to mimic the physical ramifications of a nuclear meltdown), managed to scare the bejeezus out of passers-by who were not in on the happening.

[newslite.]

I’m amused by this demonstration; I think that it is clever. It annoys the crap out of me that people who consider themselves “green” are so adamantly opposed to nuclear power.

I had a teacher in High School who taught a lot of the environmental science classes. She was very adamantly opposed to nuclear power. My high school is within 10 miles of Indian Point so the topic came up a lot. It really irritated me how someone who I otherwise had  a lot of respect for was acting so irrational about the subject. Arguing with her wasn’t really even worth it.
